How Universal Graphix increased their conversation rate by 563%

Universal Graphix is a specialist designer and producer of signage, murals, graphics, and banners based in Essex. They primarily serve businesses in Essex and the North East of the Greater London area.

The company was relying on repeat business, and was struggling to generate the leads that they needed to grow, and find prospects outside of their existing customer base in construction.

They approached Nutcracker because of our reputation on delivering successful lead generation strategies and results-driven marketing.


Our approach

We used pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns to target businesses who were actively in the market for signage and graphics. Those targets were the ‘low hanging fruit’ that the business was not reaching, but that were ready to buy when they found the right supplier.

We designed and created two PPC campaigns to attract and retarget those users. To optimise the approach, we ran several test campaigns to establish what search terms to target, refining our advertisements based on emerging patterns and data.

We then created a Google Search ad campaign, and Performance Max campaign which showcased some of Universal Graphix’s previous work, and retargeted those who engaged with search ads.

The campaigns rolled out on a monthly basis, and we monitored and optimised the creative daily. We also refined audience targeting through Performance Max and the use of custom audience segments, increasing the volume of leads.


The results in just one year

Better keyword and audience targeting meant a dramatic improvement in conversion rate — in fact a 563% improvement.

Our campaigns delivered a 158% return-on-ad-spend (ROAS), and decrease in cost per conversion of 82%.
